Artifact of Aurora is a long-term creative project by Margot Mulvey Miller that honors the memory, architecture, and spirit of her hometown — Aurora, New York.
It began with a simple idea: to hand-paint meaningful places and gift them to family members as a way of preserving the spaces that shaped them. That idea became the Founding Artifacts Collection — a growing series of original works that celebrate buildings, barns, docks, porches, and gathering places across generations.
Each artifact is painted, scanned, and packaged with intention — accompanied by a handwritten note and certificate of authenticity. These works are both personal and archival: they capture not just what a place looks like, but what it holds.
In time, Artifact of Aurora will grow into a full lifestyle shop and creative studio — offering original art, local goods, and commissions for homes, heirlooms, pets, and more. Whether you’re from Aurora or simply feel the pull of meaningful places, this project exists to carry those stories forward.
What is rooted in Aurora will always be carried forward.
